Digital and Physical Elements

For our first ACCAD 6651 Digital and Physical Lighting group project we created an element themed projection to display on a blank cube. For my section, I designed a 3D underwater caustic sequence interacting with a transparent cube. Our team utilized Maya, Arnold, Nuke, and Premiere for our digital designs. And then projection was done using Isodora.

The project started with video in Maya. For a glass surface we realized that we could only shoot from front facing or else the glass would not show the proper refraction. This meant we would have to warp the image in isadora to align with the cube.

Isadora uses a node setup to insert the image and the adjustments of the image. We had three unique scenes between our images.
